Three things you can't
get anywhere else.

01
Translation
"I need a 5V battery" → "You need 3.7V Li-ion + boost converter. Your real problem is power, not voltage." We correct the requirements before they become sourcing mistakes.
02
Architecture judgment
We help you diagnose what's binding. Volume, power density, or cycle life? Once we identify the real constraint, we present 2–3 architecture options grounded in it, each with explicit trade-offs on energy, manufacturability, timeline, and compliance. You make an informed decision.
03
Supplier connection
A supplier database is a list. We give you a vetted shortlist, drawn from direct relationships across US, Europe, and China, matched to your scale, certification needs, and timeline. Plus the right questions to ask each one before you sign anything. When useful, we make the introduction directly.

Problems we've
already solved.

WEARABLE
Heated Shapewear

44W dual-zone heating, IPX4, seamless silhouette. Architecture options with energy density feasibility analysis.

WEARABLE
Smart Helmet

Corrected voltage/power misconception before wrong cell selection. Spec validation before supplier outreach.

WEARABLE
Smartwatch Sensor

30mm × 3mm form factor analysis. Runtime optimization within ultra-thin envelope.

DEFENSE
Defense UAV

High-power single-use defense battery. NDAA-compliant supplier shortlist with specialized discharge profile analysis. Connected client to qualified manufacturer and supported through technical due diligence.

Expert-validated battery architecture and sourcing. From first specification to direct manufacturer connection.

Three ways to
work together.

Start anywhere. Database-driven brief in minutes, expert-led architecture in days, vetted sourcing reports for defined specs. The deeper the engagement, the deeper we go.

Four layers of unfair advantage.

01
Domain expertise at PhD depth
PhD in battery materials, Argonne National Lab postdoc, Apple-Argonne collaboration. Deep understanding of cell chemistry, electrode design, and pack-level trade-offs.
02
Proprietary real case library
Knowledge accumulated through years of real engagements: which supplier claims survive testing, which specs deserve pushback, which architectures hold up at scale.
03
Supplier relationship network
Direct relationships with cell manufacturers, pack companies, and BMS specialists across the US, Europe, and China. A supplier database is a list. A network is knowing who picks up the phone.
04
Accountability and sign-off
Every Tier 1 report is signed by Dr. Yingying Xie. You're getting a professional recommendation someone will stand behind.

Where materials science
meets market reality.

Dr. Yingying Xie is a battery materials scientist with nearly a decade of research experience at Argonne National Laboratory, where her work spanned lithium-ion, sodium-ion, and solid-state battery systems.

She has served as Lead Materials Scientist in industry, working on advanced cathode development and cell design, and as Senior Advisor to Roland Berger on battery market and supply chain projects for global consulting clients.

Reveal-B is where these threads come together. Most battery consultants know either the science or the market, rarely both. Dr. Xie has worked deeply in both, and built Reveal-B as a structured framework that maps product requirements to battery technologies to specific supplier ecosystems.

She works most closely with early-stage hardware founders and engineering teams, helping them think through the electrochemistry and engineering trade-offs that determine real-world performance: energy vs. power limitations, degradation mechanisms, fast-charging constraints, and material compatibility issues. The supplier network behind these recommendations was built through years of direct work across US, European, and Chinese battery ecosystems. The names in your shortlist are not pulled from a public database. They come from real relationships.

What I know that
isn't on any website.

  • Chinese "solid-state" battery claims are almost universally semi-solid gel polymer, not true solid-state.
  • NDAA compliance eliminates Chinese cell vendors from US military procurement, a constraint most hardware buyers discover only at the RFQ stage.
  • Defense and aviation supplier specifications are almost entirely NDA-protected. Public channels won't surface them. Direct relationships do.
